MAKE Technologies Announces Bill Bergen as New President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Bergen is a distinguished executive with over 26 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry in Canada. His most recent positions included President of the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC), and prior to that, President of Oracle Corporation Canada. Mr. Bergen also served on the ITAC Board of Directors and the association’s Executive Committee.

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Mr. Bergen graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (1979) from the University of Saskatchewan. He began his career in IT with IBM Canada where he acquired a broad range of experience in a variety of sales and marketing positions, culminating in 1988 with a promotion to IBM Branch Manager for British Columbia. Mr. Bergen moved to Oracle Corporation in 1990 and became a key part of the team that engineered a significant revenue turnaround, positioning Oracle as the second largest software company in the country. Mr. Bergen became President of Oracle Canada in 1999.
