This two-part event began in April, when a number of pond enthusiasts gathered for “Build-A-Pond Day”. The collaborative effort, led by Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws and PondWorks, provided participants with hands-on pond building experience.
On Thursday, June 30, the pond will be officially unveiled. Festivities will include the unveiling of the sign and release of the pond fish.
“ We plan to use this pond to help us educate about the importance of caring for the environment. ”
Attending the dedication of this impressive pond include Fins. Feathers, Paws & Claws store owner Tom Herron, PondWorks owner Brian Buchholtz, YMCA Director Betty Linko, and members of the pond building team.
“Everyone at the YMCA is excited about this project,” said, YMCA Branch Executive. “We plan to use this pond to help us educate about the importance of caring for the environment.”
Media is encouraged to mention this dedication and attend the event.
