The Miller Report with Dave Miller originally debuted on October 15, 2004. The podcast was one of the very early podcasts being produced. While the show never tipped the scales on any of the popular ranking websites, it was well received. The Miller Report averaged close to 30,000 downloads through March of 2005 and was building a solid audience.
The Miller Report was also featured in two major newspaper articles on podcasting. The Saint Paul Pioneer Press published a regional podcasting piece on January 18, 2005 and the New York Times included The Miller Report in a February 19, 2005 article. At the time, The Miller Report was one of four podcasts produced by Dave Miller and Absolute Net Solutions, an Internet Marketing company owned by Miller.
In March 2005, The Miller Report was discontinued after Miller dissolved his partnership with Absolute Net Solutions.
Miller, who comes from the radio broadcasting industry, took a radio job in Winner, SD and returned to the airwaves. From April to September 2005 he hosted a morning show on KWYR-FM. Long before moving to Winner, SD Miller battled with alcoholism. The battle came to it's height in September when Miller was convicted of DUI. After serving four months in jail and completing alcohol rehab, Miller moved to Sioux Falls, SD to rebuild his life. The new start on life brings with it many changes and challenges and a return to podcasting.
Dave Miller is a broadcaster, broadcasting on a local Sioux Falls station, and he embraces everything podcasting has to offer. Said Miller of the return: “This is something that has constantly been on my mind since last March. I truly loved doing the show in the beginning, there was something liberating about it. I wanted to return on a number of occasions but my relationship with alcohol would not allow that to happen. Now that I have worked on me and I have had some time to live a sober life, I am ready to go back to some of the things I love, one of them is The Miller Report. I look forward to doing the show on a daily basis and growing with each show. I hope I can entertain and inform those listeners from yesterday and the new listeners of today.”

A new show will be released each weekday by 9am central time. Broadcasts will take place on the weekend if the issues of the day warrant. The show is A daily look at the news of the day. Miller will report on the big stories in the news and he will interject his opinions on some of the hot topics being discussed.
